A new contact from Australia

Came back from a weekend in Bucks (thanks Ray & Christine) to find a new contact from another Raymond but this one in Australia.

The PIMBLE PhpGedView website is certainly generating more contacts than my older, more amateur sites. However I must update the references to the DNA project to be more than just a link.

New contact in NZ

I have today received a contact from Claire in New Zealand and that is exciting. Several interesting references to PIMBLE in NZ in the 1800's and it will be interesting to see how this develops.

DNA PROJECT - update 22 April 2006

Good news on Thursday. Derek descendant of George PIMBLE born c1796-1801 (that's George born in 1796-1801 not Derek!) has agreed to take a DNA test to add to the first two. A kit is in the post to him now and we should have results in the next couple of months.

George married in Swindon Village, Cheltenham in 1829 but we haven't yet been able to find his place of birth. A match might assist us in doing that.

Very keen to get tests from the descendants of John PIMBLE born about 1788 in Hentland and the PIMBLE family from the Taynton/Hartpury/Maisemore area of Gloucestershire, England.

In 1841 George was in Staffordshire. He died before the 1851 census which would have given us his birthplace.
